so can you guys share with me some really good cake reciepes which you have tried yourself?
PP007, with cake mixes like these it’s not a big deal at all. They are about a buck a piece and come in all the different flavors, from German chocolate to red velvet. You can find them in your nearest grocery store. I make one every week & it takes me no more than half & hour.
I don’t like icing/frosting, but if you do, then in the same isle where you will find the above cake mix, you will find frosting/icing as well.
You do icing first & then frost the cake, or so I have heard. For the cake above, you will need two cake pans and also some decorating tubes for frosting. Bake your cake according to the instructions written on the mix and let it cool for a few hours (over night, if possible). To have even cake tops it is advised to rotate the cake in the oven from time to time while it’s baking. Once it’s cool, place one of the two baked cakes onto a cookie sheet and spread the icing. Smooth it with a butter knife, or you can buy the special cake smoothers if you fancy. Place the other one on top and repeat the spreading process. Then do a little bit of artistic work with your tubes with frosting and wallaaah .. you have a cake ready. It’s good to keep the cake in the refrigerator for a few hours before putting it out at room temperature for serving, especially if you didn’t let the cake cool over night. This habit keeps the icing/frosting where it is. Though don’t leave it in there as it will harden the frosting too much and give a little bad taste.
AJ is right...use their frosting and same isle u can get the tools too..or if u wanna go farrr with this, then there are videos and kits and stuff at i think craft stores..and there are books that explain in details..
oki this is one thing i can give u advice on
melt some chocoloate (preferably cooking/baking plain chocolate) on a saucepan of boiling water
add cream (double/single doesnt really matter) and stir it till it become thick and choclatey
u could add fudge at this stage but itll get heavy
if u want it to have that shiny finish put abt a tbs of butter in it
then just spread it out over the cake and leave to cool
it tastes loveley hot though
and for the curly deco make chocolate flavour sugar butter icing
the rest of the icing just takes practice
but whatever u do dont put the cake into the fridge to cool the edges go hard and it tastes best light and soft
good luck
