your Inlaws??? like if you are in a party and u have to introduce ur Mil AND Fil ..what u ll say ??

meet my ammi and abbu or meet my MIL AND FIL.cause today a very funny thing happened .i went to the doctor and my MIL was with me , i told the doctor that she s my mom.but after a while my MIL said ACTUALLY she is my DIL .:omg:

so my question is how do u introduce them like u say ..meet uncle aunti,or ammi abbu or meet my MIL and Fil:konfused:

I introduce them by the true relation. i.e. brother-in-law, sister-in-law etc.

My wife calls my parents ammi abbu but she introduces them by their true relation as well. i.e. MIL, FIL, SIL etc.

It doesn't matter what you call them at home (i.e. aunty or ammi) but one should always tell others at least once how that person is really related to you. After that if you refer to them as ammi, the other person would know that by ammi, you are referring to your MIL.

Call them what they are. Plain and simple.

if my husband's name is Q, I'd just say this is "Q's Mom"...for some reason, the word "mother-in-law" has a negative connotation for me.

I would prefer to introduce them as "MIL" and "FIL". It's not a very tough job I guess.

How would you introduce them :smack: you will say "yeah meri wife ke mummy papa hain .. ya .. yeah meray susar hain or yeah hamari saas hain
