Why can’t you just walk away when she starts going off? Just ignore man. Who cares if she wants you to do dewars bed. It’s the best she could come up with to stir up trouble. Reham karo and move on..

Say jee and walk away. You know your husband doesn’t approve such things and supports you, there is no need for you to stress over it (I know easier said than done as such comments can be extremely annoying). If she will complain him, he will take care of it. If she doesn’t, then probably she knows he won’t approve such requests; she might be trying to push your buttons.

I’m not advocating this but …
Everyday … Early … wake your devar up in the morning - treat him like you are his commanding officer in an army camp.
Make a commotion and make him make his bed.
Ask him about his dirty clothes and use a stick to pick them up and ask him what is the meaning of this and that and whatever you may find in his bedroom.
If your MIL says anything - Say “Excuse me - let me take charge … !!!”
