How do Pakistanis feel about China (merged)

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

Most Pakistanis think China is the next best thing after free aid.

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

Welcome to the forum cyberena!
In simple terms, China is extremely popular in Pakistan and Pakistanis from all walks of life hold China and the Chinese in very high regard and value the friendship very much and consider it a huge asset. Pakistan has seen a lot of success through Chinese help which is like that of an elder brother. And all Pakistanis want the relations with China to strengthen and improve further and always stay strong.

I personally would love to visit China sometime through the Karakoram Highway, that would be a wonderful experience I'm sure.

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

I see we have some foreigners (possibly some sell outs) speaking on behalf of pakistanis so please ignore the childish comments. They usually lurk around the political/military side of the forum lolz!!!

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

Hey cyberena darling! I like china alot! Nice country that should ignore american sanctions and grow thier economy larger, at least china earns thier money rather than stealing it from other countries!!! If china was ever at war with capitalist regimes e.g america, i would consider joining the chinese army!!! Am very happy to meet you dear! Some small info about chinese muslims i saw: http://www.chinamuslim.per.sg/origin/origin.htm

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

Well I really think the replies you’ll be getting here are going to be a bit biased because you just stated you were Chinese in the first post.

I, on the other hand, will give you a very bold and straightforward reply. In fact, I’ll let you in on a little cultural secret we have going. We refer to Chinese people as “Cheeni-chipaani”. No lie, kasme. :phati:

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

Most Chinese know that Pakistan is one of China's very few friends. I personally met very few Pakistanis though. I think China should invest more in Pakistan and create more jobs there, instead of just giving you guys weapons.

I have some Indian friends. Most Indians I met in person are pretty nice to the Chinese. But I saw a lot of Indians bashing China on the internet which I don't understand. It seems to me a lot them hate China because we help Pakistan and perform better economically.

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

What does “Cheeni-chipaani” mean?

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

It means Chinese people.

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

dear cyberena ! :waves:

I had floated the idea of United States of Chinasome time back.

Btw, do you have bad people in china ? :konfused: how come i hear all of them hard working, dedicated, honest bla bla. What are you Robot or something ? :expressionless:

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

Wrong. It means Chinese-Japanese. “Cheeni” means Chinese. “Chipaani” means Japanese.

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

Maddy, didn't anyone ever tell you?

They're the same thing. _

(Chinese and Japenese people love hearing that btw)

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

Even the cyberjihadiz love China!

I have been to China through the karakorum highway when I was in grade 6, it was an experience of a life time. Apart from the breathtakin scenery, one thing that strikes out was the hospitality of the Chinese soldiers at the border. In freezing temperatures, they literally took off their thick coats (they were wearing just dress shirts below that), and gave it to all of us because they thought we werent dressed warm enough (and we werent). They were really nice, and then asked if we could give them some Pakistani music cassettes to them, and fortunately we had some Vital Signs cassettes which Im sure they must have enjoyed. I also know some Chinese people who actually live and do business in Karachi, and theres also this famous shoe shop in Saddar, Rawalpindi which Im sure every resident of that city knows about, the Chinese owners of that shop speak Urdu better than most of us... China is a great friend, they have done so much for us, and we have (to be honest) at times been a little unthankful, but their friendship has been time tested and hopefully it will continue to become even stronger.

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

In Pakistan, China is considered the only true friend out there. Even the religious parties accept that. Elder Pakistanis hold Chariman Mao in very high esteem, although it appears he has become not so popular in the younger Chinese generation.

In Urdu we say: Pak Cheen dosti zindabad (Long-Live Pakistan-Chinese friendship!)

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

We call you guys "巴基斯坦人" It is simply Pakistan people in Chinese.

Re: How do Pakistanis feel about China

What is the general opinion of India in China. China is doing economically much better than India. Do they see them as competitor or a country not worth mentioning. Do Chinese bash India on internet?
