seems like he is interested in you, but get him loosen up a bit so you can have a clear picture of your status in this relationship because Pakistani guys are mainly traveling in two ship together, especially if they are successful in their respective professions. They have lot of girls option to choose from. in any case, just be ready to face a lot of drama because you cant leave the guy, and Pakistani men cant leave their families.

I tried asking if he's ever had a girlfriend and he was really weird about it and didn't give me a straight answer, so I didn't wanna push it.

if he's showing you affection in private then isn't that an indication that he really likes you? the cultural differences are just the ones that X2 mentioned, there might be no sex before marriage and even if he's open to that later on, find out whether he loves you first by asking him directly. you don't want him to do all this physical stuff with you in private and then go marry a girl his family chooses for him.

get him to give you a straight out answer.

lol ok ok... I will stop wondering and just go with the flow. I just have a really good friend of mine whose Pakistani & Muslim and she told me: "Paki guys don't date or verbalize that they like you. If he has kissed you or taken you out, after this much time, it means he considers you his serious girlfriend." She was the one that got me wondering about him and encouraged me to give him more time. But I guess that was bad advice from her.

^no i don't think it's bad advice from her, it's true, you two come from totally different cultural and religious backgrounds, this relationship between you two would take a lot of effort by both of you, it's a majorly big step.

if you're really serious about him and want to marry him, then study pakistani culture and study islam. good luck :-)
