As that website suggests you need the USB cable, otherwise you can't get access to the file system without which you can't put the ringtones in the right folder.

thank you people..you guys were very kind..i cant even put up with my stupidness sometimes..and you all were just too nice.
my phone is on vibrate most of the time anyway...so i am not going to worry abt ringtones too much..

With Audacity you can edit any sound file, so you can mix, match, crop, add sounds and MP3s and create you own DJ style music. That is if you are into that kinda stuff.
PS: And no, I don't have Verizon :)

Actually she still can using WinSCP which I use with my iphone and go to the root folder where I need to go but I'll keep quite this time, it's like making a rocket for space.

So, u didn't upgraded the firmware on the iPhone? Is yours unlocked?

Upgrade has no effect, my middle brother has t-mobile with unlocked iphone and the latest firmware and still can do everything. On the other hand I got at&t with firmware 1.1.1 and my youngest brother has it too with the new 1.1.2 - all fully jailbroken ;)
btw you can now unlock it by pressing a few buttons if you have firmware 1.1.1 not the new factory shipment.
