jokes aside, most of the torrents have a hash key which is linked to the tracker db with the IP when the person downloaded it, most of the sites are using XBT trackers so the first thing u need to understand is that you cannot just share "torrents" by sending to eachother on msn, unless they are on an "OPEN PUBLIC" tracker which I doubt. Most of the torrent sites use XBT tracker linked to their user DB, so you gta be logged in to download. How ever there are sites like mininova and piratebay that collect public tracker torrents.

Now if ur torrent is on an open tracker, then do the following.

Download Utorrent (google it), then open ur .torrent file in it, see if it finds some peers / seeds.

If it starts downloading ur movie, then good luck, if it doesnt connect to the tracker then bad luck, and then move on with the life and delete the damn torrent, and next time use mininova.org or piratebay , u can easily find these scene releases there

Teggy I did that but I still was unable to play it in media player or the DivX movie player… so I am not sure what…

Why exactly weren't u able to play it? What does it say? Or do you get just sound no picture?

You might need additional codecs.

Sometimes the torrent you download are bogus. General rule, the bigger a file, the more likely it's genuine.

Dude download http://utorrent.com/ then File–>add torrent → load ur damn file

then see if the torrent starts to download.

If it doesnt start and no peers, then delete the .torrent file

*try VLC Player, it doesnt use any codecs, and ur movie will play just fine.

otherwise download Zoom Player Pro (when installing , install the ffshadow codecs pack), and you are all set. Zoom Player Pro / Media Player Classic are the two softwares that uses least CPU memory, so you can play 702p or other HD files even if ur cpu is not that powerful, otherwise go with the easy way which is download VLC player (google it)
