How do I convert .bmp files to .jpg?

Open the pic in paint...Save as, and choose .JPEG from the drop down menu....save!

^ the above will work... and you can also do the following...

paste the image in a word doc, resize it if necessary... and save the file as an html file. This will create a folder with the same name as the name of your html file, and you'll see the jpg file in that folder (with different name though).

you can view, convert, batch convert, batch rename, resize, make web galleries, slideshows, and more.
All with this tiny little freeware.

Print the Photo on photographic paper, take ur Digi cam .. & take the photo of the photo .. and then transfer the file as JPEG to your computer ... there u .. done.

I always use Irfanview to convert large number of files from bmp to jpg or from large jpg (2MB) to smaller ones (40% size so they can be shared via email or post on GS etc) that are hardly 100 KB.

There is a phenomenal batch conversion tool that I have not seen anywhere else.
