^^ Not relinquish but rather capitulate. Every old person would rather not relinquish their youth as evident in age-reversal-product industry but has no choice to capitulate or succumb to wrinkles :(

its all about social norms, though i hav seen ppl wid the husband being younger than the girl.. 3-4 years or even a year or more age difference the other way is acceptable ..but 20 40 ....70 20 (i have heard of such ppl too ) is ridiculous :P

Boys/Men have two phases:

1- They like older women when young. (Eager to learn the older ways)

2- They like younger women as they grow older (Trying to find the joy of being young)

Similarly, women also have two phases. But predominantly look for older men at all ages.

Interestingly, men in both stages are considered pervert but young girls may be forgiven looking for older men.

Older women are also considered 'bad' while looking for younger men.
