My mom and dad lived in the same neighborhood.

Since my dada was a uber moulvi and my daddi had passed away - My dad told HIS Daddi (my great grandmother) that he liked my mom.

So my pur daddi went to their home and asked my mom “tumhien Z kasa lagta hai”

My mom said “ajeeb sa ha” :slight_smile: jub dekho mujhay dekh kar mushkara rehta hai

My Daddi was like “because he likes you”

My mom was like “please ask my dad - I cannot have this conversation with you because I have to change the bedsheets” :smack: (she had Martha Stewart genes since she was 5)

and then there ristha was paka. And then my dad found every excuse to pick her up from college, take her out to ther movies. He even taught her how to drive during the engagement period.

He was so challak

Okay, back to the topic. My chaacha used to study with my mom's cousin at the University, chaacha mentioned they were hunting for a girl, cousin said oh my cousin is nice... maybe she will be appropriate so they teamed up ...... my mom used to teach, dad stood outside the school at chutti time to see her, he liked ... sent his rishta and they got married. My mom saw dad for the first time at the barat.

My mums friend is married to my dads friend. Dad and dads friend came to visit my mum. Dad fell for her. Mum liked him. Took my dad 3 years to win my mum over . Finally he got her. They got a nikkah. The rest is history.

My mom would always sneak out everytime any ladke waley came to see her. So, her older bro and bhabhi tricked her into going for a movie (which was a rare treat) and my dad and his family saw her at an ice cream parlor by the theatre and still recalls her oily choti and tooti sandal, while my mom maintains that her sandal was just loose not broken! LOL

She dint know till the following week when they told her bout the rishta, that the ladka had already seen her & approved.

Afshi I guess I wasn't clear. My mom is married to her phupos son. My nana abu gave each of his daughter's as daughter in laws to his sisters. i hope that is clearer lol.
