technically the idea is that the larke wale are bringing the mehndi for you to put on, so it would be after the rasm. Obviously that's not how it really works, and you can do it either way. I like the idea of having the dried mehndi still on your hands on the mehndi day.

^ i agree....

my sister had the mehndi artist come on the day of the mehndi and do it whilst she was on the stage. It was a good idea and her mehndi came out really dark for the baraat.

but if i get the mehndi done then and there kind of a thing,how will i be able to have a shower when i get back home?i mean ,all that oil in my hair n everywhere?

morning of the wedding would mean the day of the barat no?

i just wore my jeans after taking a shower .. but then apparently there is this "queit" rasam where my aunt came and put a full gota wala dupatta on my head (my mom ki shadi ka) .. and i was supposed to read a few lines from the Quran ... and then she gave me some money and prayers :@: heheh ... and i was basically supposed to not take that gota-wala dupatta off till i was at my parlour ...
