I already watch youtube/google videos on my LCD through the Wii Internet connection using the console's controller.

Why am I always late??
I wanted it to be a wii-mote or normal infra-red remote-control.
1-I have done that part in the past where computer reads in put from remote.(I did it in C)
2-perl program downloading youtube and scanning/displaying links.(workin on it looks pretty stright forward)
3-agian perl connecting input from remote to the interface(one build in step 2)
all I watch is videos on internet so I thought, it would be easier if i had such a thing.

I'm just waiting for Rogers and other carriers to start providing a TV based internet service to its subscribers who get both High Speed Internet as well as Cable through the same service provider.
It makes sense to bundle these up and use the digital cable box as an internet terminal allowing people to use their TV screens to browse the internet... and in the process watch videos / other multimedia online.

Are you talking about a projector hooked up to a pc using windows media player? I actually have that and I can use my "Microsoft Windows Remote" to surf the web, watch videos, etc.. and type using wireless keyboard while enjoying a theatrical view. How is this news new when I had this like 3 years ago?!

So I am going to do that with youtube and google video, then with my remote I will switch through them.
Remote control part I have done in the past.
and yeah, this will the only application running on my pc. SO basically I power it on I go into this interface.
Just like my own webtv.

Last night I found out how to play youtube from terminal. that would be with out using webbrowser. Its pretty simple too. So now it can be initiated form the code.
Now i have to make connection from computer to wii-mote. Actually I have made connection but now I have to read the keys.
