Irem, it is surprising... in these five years it did not come to your notice that the bathrooms here have no drains. The drains are in the bath-tub, where you are actually going to splash water. Why would one need a drain when you have a bath-tub and a toilet bowl? :-p

Anyways, it was a funny read. It's all good though, now you are more knowledgable than u were this time three days ago. :-p

actually i never really noticed that :-D but i remember the first time we[me and my roommates] cleaned our apartment we first got together
and made a list of the things we will need for cleaning. Did a little research of what exactly we will need to clean the kitchen and
bathroom in particular. :~) it helps ..try it :-D

wasay i prefer having no drain in the bathroom.

i hate it too… i never use mope.. jab mujhe bathroom clean karna hota hia to poora aik kitchen towel ka rolll khatam kardaity thi

i dun like this mr CLEAN or Mop

waisay roll khatam karne par dant bhi bohat parti hia

and kitchen floor.. i do the same thing.. i always use paper towel.. pehlay pooray kitchen main Baalti bhar pani dala phir pamolive..(dish cleaning wala soap) dal dia phir brush say ragra lagayaa.. aur phirrr tissue paper say pani nikala

aur kitchen aisa saaf ke apni schakal hi nazar aajaya karti hia

is se aik funny problem yaad aai. When i was visiting my brother in bristol..i remember they did not have a mixer. i was informed that save the modern construction, most of the uk is ‘equipped’ with this non-mixer approach. Ab banda mounh haath dhona ho to pehle thanday paani ke nalkay ke neechay haath daaley, phir garam paani ke nalkay ke neechay…ab aisay dance kar kar ke banda mounh haath dhoye/wuzuu karey

A mixer is a simple device…why couldn’t they make life easier and make everyone less of a dancer in the washroom?

back in the day the washbasin was used in a diff way. i.e. fill it with water..mix it there so it reached the desired temparature and then use it to wash...basically a development of the old ways where ppl were used just a pyala type thing.

Its not hard to put a mixer on it. anyone who played with lego as a kid can do it really. ..shut water line, take out the existing taps..put on the new one, connect water line, release water line..done..20-30 mins max. otherwise for people with no skill, or in rental properties where u can not make changes unless the lanlord approves, u can get a device which will attach to both spouts and voila u have a mixer.
