How come Aids does not spread through mosquito bite ?

It spreads primarily through blood transfusion. Our mosquito bhai does the same for his living. So how is it possible that if a mosquito sucks some infected blood from an HIV carrier and then goes to a healthy person and bite him as well and leaves not traces of Virus in the blood of his victim ??? :konfused:

Re: How come Aids does not spread through mosquito bite ?

When mosquitoes bite a person, they do not inject the blood of a previous victim into the person they bite next. Mosquitoes do, however, inject their saliva into their victims, which may carry diseases such as dengue fever, malaria, yellow fever, or West Nile virus and can infect a bitten person with these diseases. HIV is not transmitted in this manner.[SUP][23]](Misconceptions about HIV/AIDS - Wikipedia)[/SUP] On the other hand, a mosquito may have HIV-infected blood in its gut, and if swatted on the skin of a human who then scratches it, transmission may be possible,[SUP][24]](Misconceptions about HIV/AIDS - Wikipedia)[/SUP] though this risk is very small, and no cases have yet been identified through this route.

LOL that was a great answer. Dumb teen girls FTW.

Re: How come Aids does not spread through mosquito bite ?

AIDS virus needs blood to survive. Mosquito doesn't suck enough blood to carry HIV virus.

Mosquitoes Digest the Virus that Causes AIDS When a mosquito transmits a disease agent from one person to another, the infectious agent must remain alive inside the mosquito until transfer is completed. If the mosquito digests the parasite, the transmission cycle is terminated and the parasite cannot be passed on to the next host.

I wonder if the enzyme they use to digest it can be used to treat humans...

Re: How come Aids does not spread through mosquito bite ?

Thank GOD it doesnt spread like this

Re: How come Aids does not spread through mosquito bite ?

Informative, but there are still some loopholes in it.

If a mosquito sucks the HIV infected blood then even if it digest the blood still then the virus should remain in the body of that mosquito. And the mosquito should get infected with HIV. This is how other viruses like Dengue spread.

Malaria spread through Bactaria as per my knowledge.

That is a very important question too. A less dangerous virus or parasites remain safe in mosquito’s body, but a fatal HIV gets terminated during digestion. How come billions of dollars of research does not focus on a tiny mosquito ???
