so let's add to this.....

let's say that you do fear His wrath and the rest.......does that prevent you from coming closer to Him?

what I am trying to suggest is that if we preach love for Him then we are more likely to encourage closeness than if we preach fear for Him.

maybe someone can correct me if im wrong but isnt Allahs love equal to the love of 70 mothers?? and if that is the case then doesnt that eliminate the whole "fear of allah" concept?

intensely and passionately in love with God, have unconditional love for God. there's a private,strong, very personal relationship there.

hoping God has unconditional love for me.

When God wants to be close to me, I am sure he can arrange that, just not anytime soon I hope.

Whenever we start a good thing, we ought to say a phrase that keep reminding us of His Beneficence and Mercifulness. Fear of Him cannot be equated to slave fearing a wordly master or a king, or fear of someone who has power to make or break you. Fear of Him should be considered like fear of a mother or father who do love us and care about us. fear of a loving being annoyed of anything wrong we do.
