A US military interrogator has been sentenced to five months in prison for assaulting a detainee in Afghanistan who later died.
Imagine the howls of indignation that would break loose if Afghans were to capture a US citizen, accuse him of being a soldier and beat him to death…

it's f'd up, but shyte like this happens during wartime. If someone that you had clues as to Osama's whereabouts, or details about an impending dirty bomb attack, believe me you'd be beaten & tortured too.

sadly the howls of indignation are raised selectively in all corners. while you may not see howls in US about how this guy killed someone and got off scott free, you do not see howls in the arab world when Israeli citizens are blown up.
we have to be more objective, we have to value all human life, whether it is of someone of our country, our religion, our race, our ping pong team, or someone who is not of our country, religion, race..or ping pong team.
We keep posting these threads here, trying to show each other the mirror, trying to score points. Wouldn't it be better if everyone looked in the mirror for themselves, and did what was right.
These statements are for gross violations and killings.
In military situations crap happens, there is a tough decision on how best to try and save the lives of many by exerting more pressure on a suspect. its a catch 22.
Anyways, I am tired, and tired of seeing the same old same old in the posts, same old same old in the press and same old same old on the lips of the same old same old ppl in the news.
I kinda understand now why marvin the Martian wanted to destroy earth. In the original pink panther cartoon series, he spoke only once, there was war going on and he said, why cant man learn to live a little more like animals :)

All human beings are equal..But some are more equal than the others. Isnt an accepted theory among muslims that only they go to heaven !!!
