How can e as ordinary citizens help our country in fight against terrorism which is ripping apart Pakistan?
I thnk one thing we can do is to have a fund for soldiers and policemen who have laid their life for Pakistan.
Other is to write to newspapers to push politicians come all out for fight against this menace.

theres two things we need to decide, as a community on gupshup, as a people and as a nation
do we want to end the terrorism?

Good point about setting up a fund!
So now what we can do?
1) Very important: We as citizens can be vigilant and keep a close eye on what is going on in our neighborhood, so any suspicious activity should be reported. This will be very helpful
2) We must pay our taxes honestly. As per some estimates, the ratio of taxes being paid in Pakistan is the lowest in the world!!! This should be done for the love of our country without being bothered what those corrupt crocodiles in power are doing. Good economy --> more employed people = less manpower available for terrorists.
3) Last but not least, we should change our mindset and stop complaining on every small thing! We citizens of Pakistan are very good when it comes to our rights but look to the other side when it comes to perform our duties towards our motherland!
This mindset MUST be changed!!! This is the way how we will progress.
I really see a very bright future for this great great county, Insha Allah! This terrorism will die down with the years to come, IA!

1) Extermination of Talibanism/Extremists/Suckers/Scum should me motto of Pak "Quom" and inserted in Constitution.
2) Fatwa should be issued by so-called Mullahs to make it "faraz" on every Pakistani to kill at least one "Talib" ... in their lifetime, .. Hajj should be postponed for all the Pakistani's for next five years, pilgrims should be payed to Wazierstan, South Punjab & Suburbs of Quetta by shotting in the left eye of captured terrorists !
3) Public ceremonies to be held all over Pakistan, where captured terrorists balls should be cut in front of masses and then be-killed by shot in their ass-to-mouth, viola !
4) Whoever say a word in favor of Talibanism/extremism should be given third-degree burn on Constitution avenue (slowly) .. and then let them go freely in Thar desert with a half bottle of 240ml water !
5) Make it "faraz" on all Pakistani outside/inside through again religious decree to contribute 20% of income for the "war against terror".

How can we set up a fund? Anyone here (whos actually living in Pakistan) ready to take this responsibility? I am ready to donate, infact i would be more than happy to donate every month.
......but the question is, how will it be done? PayPal doesn't work in Pakistan, does it? What other method do we have?
I don't know how ordinary citizens can help in this regard when parties like JI, JUI, IK and PML(N) directly flirting with Taliban. There is large number of people support these Taliban morally and financially. The war has made an ugly turn. The above party leaders had never condemned these terrorists attack, even death of innocent people, indicating this war will go long way. Taliban has mobilized Pakistanis that they are fighting in the name of Allah and serious in implement Shariah Law in the country which is the most sensitive point and raise the emotions of common people in street.

Ask America for more money and their troops, most Pakistani's are not willing to make the sacrifice for their country, lets call in the Amercians.
Its aright for Firenze to be brave from afar, why doesn't he do his bit and pick up a gun and fight.
Its more important to start a fund for the displaced civilans, we have to win their hearts and minds.
