delete/edit my very very old post???
I mean very very very old ones.
Okay now don’t check my post history or old posts, you won’t find anything interesting/fishy in there!

You can edit them, but I don't think there's an option to delete them. Only mods/admins can do that.

okay not delete really, just stick with the editing part.
When I am trying to edit some post, dated back in 1999, there is no edit option. although we used to edit our posts in that stone age.

the edit option is only available for a limited time... like a week or so i think.
even now u cant edit ur posts which are a month or so old.

^ Actually, the edit button disappears after 24 hours you post a reply.
If you need content edited that dates back to 99, you would need to send the links to those posts/threads to a moderator and he/she can edit the posts for you.
