You can consider taking 3 inches off your hair length to encourage hair growth, cutting hair makes hair grow faster.

By cutting 3 inches first month
2 inches after 3rd month
and then 1 inch after the 5th month

You would have taken off 6 inches in total, but you probably would have grown back 5 inches … making a net reduction of only 1 inch, but 6 inches of normal un-dyed hair … from the roots.

Then if you strip the colour on the lower part of the hair that will be less damage, but you have to wait 6 months.

That’s actually pretty good advice Only issue is, I wanted the color change to take place before Eid. If not then, then by 1-2 months for a particular event. Don’t see why I can’t start trimming though, even an inch or two of normal hair would be good.
