He is 10 months old and i want to wean him but he is not ready to take bottle. what should i do?

What do you mean, "he is not ready to take the bottle"? Start by offering him formula once a day, either from a bottle or a sippy cup. Get him used to it. Then increase the formula feedings and decrease nursing sessions slowly. Milk should still be the primary source of nutrients at this age.

If I remember correctly, you said your son did not like formula. If you have a breast pump, you could try expressing some milk and mixing it with the formula, just to get him used to the taste. It will take a little time.

Thank you so much Sahar once again. yes you are right i am the same i tried yar many times but he dont like bottle but i think its good idea mixing milk and formula. ok let me try hope its work.

^I had to do the same recently to get my daughter on whole milk. only took 2-3 days.

at 10 months you dont have to start the bottle, especially as your kid doesn't like it either. I would try sippy cups, normal cups or with straw and when he is drinking enough, decrease nursing slowly.

^ Yeah, I think that is a better idea (but I think in her other thread she said her son does drink juice and water from the bottle). Also, if you like, you can talk to your doctor about when to start whole milk, and just wait to wean until he is ready for that. In the US they say to wait until 1 year.

Ya his doctor said wait until he 1 year. i am trying to give him formula in normal cup he is taking little bit. yes you are right he take juice and water in sippy cup. but in that cup as he smell milk he just dont like it i guess. but now as i have to wean him so i am trying hard.
