so how are we protecting our future (kids-youth) from being recruited in Al-Qaida or similar organizations? is cursing Al-qaida really gonna bring any positive change? Ain’t its fact that before Al-Qaida recruited them, we never actually even thought about them?

Well, first of all, educating our children about the fundamentals of Islam and not fundamentalist Islam would be a good start. Then monitor who they are playing with, what they are reading...In smaller areas where kids are picked off the street or kidnapped...I'm not sure if anything can really be done.

In time like this we can hope to bring best of us. I think our human capacity can earn greater good for ourselves and then for everybody else. We must not forget the most fundamental belief that we have is to treat everybody as we want to be treated. We all want to be treated well by family, co-workers, friends etc. So why not start with something basic. And basic is to correct ourselves first, bring positive change to ourselves so us along with other can be benefited. By other means, your Kids, neices and nephews etc. We need to teach up-coming generation about enduring respect and patience. Yes patience believe it or not, as tough times are ahead for all of us here and if you do not know that then you are living in illusion. And secondly, experience the harshness and up and downs of life. And to feel passion for the things that you love. I'm not talking about material wealth. I'm not talking about happiness. I'm talking you love about having a feeling of accomplishment in your life, even if it means that you have to pass through some areas of darkness to get it. We must make mistakes in order to learn from those mistakes, and so people should not approach life thinking every skeleton in their closet will come out to haunt them. Move on, and see what happens. Be the best in this World for here-after. Without hell, there cannot be heaven, and so we must pass through hell a few times to achieve what we want to achieve for this life and here-after. It's not easy; it's not fun, but it'll be worth it in the long run. And that is what i intend to teach my kids..who i will have someday insha'Allah.

It really hurts to see innocent young Pakistani children being recruited by Taliban/Al-Qaida. They're being brainwashed because they don't know any better.

Give children the lessons of sensibility and sensitivity.Impart the same to elders also.

The issue is more about religion than just common sense. Even education is a bit of a grey area because a lot of the people involved in strategy are highly educated individuals.
I'd say teaching them the basics of religion should nullify any inclination they'd have towards hardcore-psycho-Muslims and what not.

Simple, keep youngsters away from maulvis and that includes all types of maulvis.
