How accurate is Laptop's remaining battery life %

Hey people,

Just wanna know how to make sure if whatever remaining battery life laptop shows is accurate?.. if not, how to make it accurate?..

sometimes its on 27% and suddenly shut down by itself and when i try to boot up… it says the battery life is too low..

it shuts off at 27% cause its trying to keep the working data in live memory and need some juice for that

You could change the power to 'power saver' would give you lower performance but longer battery life. Alternatively you could download this little gizmo which will give you the exact time you have remaining on the battery.

PS after you have installed wait for the accuracy to reach 3%, after which the times will be displayed.

strangely..my Dell Inspiron shows No battery attached..but even then it gives me a backup of 1 hour...
so i wonder wat would battery life indication mean :)
