How about removing restrictions on bowlers in limited overs cricket (same as in test cricket)? i.e. still 50-over and T20 games but no restriction on how many overs a bowler can bowl.
After all there are no restrictions on batsmen in any format. They get to play unlimited number of deliveries
Plus boundaries should be at least 75 yards long
There needs to be a better balance between bat and ball in the shorter versions of the game as well. The awful dominance of batsmen is killing the game
It would be a different game today (despite the pathetic total) if Amer could bowl 10 overs (instead of 4). However my comment is not specific to what’s happened today
Re: How about removing restriction on bowlers in limited overs cricket!
kal ko agar aapkii bowling kamzor ho jaaye to aapko Dale steyn yaa starc yaa Ashwin ko khelte huye kaisa lagega? yehii to balance hai k kisii ek ko undue advantage na ho...i think this format is perfect for in the interest of the game. i would not vote for any changes in the current format...
...however, i will definitely like to see uniformity in boundaries...it should've equal radius on every cricket ground in the world.

Maybe there will be 2 or 3 bowlers in a side only.imagine aamir and asif bowling 25 overs in a match
Of course you will not play just 2 bowlers in a 50-over game, at least 4 (cf. test cricket)
**OR
the requirement should be 4 bowlers instead of 5**
i.e. in
50-over games. 3 bowlers can bowl a maximum of 15 overs each. 4th bowler/all-rounder should bowl a minimum of 5 overs
T20: 3 bowlers can bowl a max of 6 overs each. 4th bowler/all-rounder should bowl a minimum of 2 overs
Of course a team can play more than 4 bowlers if they want..
Above would address some of the imbalance between bat and ball

Ashwin koh 2 six maar ker jeetna toh bauaht aasan hai, koi world class bowler kee baat karein, club bowlers kee nahin.
Re: How about removing restriction on bowlers in limited overs cricket!
Hitting a six off a spinner in a short ground is not the same as hitting one in a standard ground. Ashwin has a pretty good record in International cricket. Underestimating him would probably not be a good strategy.
Re: How about removing restriction on bowlers in limited overs cricket!
Against which teams? Is it outside India?
Nevertheless, that wasnt the debate unless master-troll KKF dragged it.
When we say “limited overs” game we are actually saying there are caps defined..i.e. on the total number of overs as well as the overs per bowler. It goes hand-in-hand and breaking one rule would totally unbalance the equation.
I know in baseball there isnt any such restriction and 1 pitcher can pitch entire 9 innings if he is fit but trust me its so distasteful. We dont wana make cricket like that
Re: How about removing restriction on bowlers in limited overs cricket!
Re 1st sentence granted his record is not very good outside India. By the same token lot of good fast bowlers struggle on flat pitches.
But that exactly excludes him from the top layer of bowlers that can be still above and beyond regardless of conditions like Wasim Akram, Shane warne, Mcgrath etc
Anywayz, my point is not to remove the limit per bowler..
Re: How about removing restriction on bowlers in limited overs cricket!
I am only saying reduce the requirement of minimum bowlers from 5 to 4. With a minimum of 5 bowlers, each team is forced to play bits and pieces cricketers (which = relief for the opposing batsmen). Not every team possesses genuine all-rounders.
My revised version:
i.e. 6 batsmen, 1 wk and 4 bowlers (one or more of whom could be genuine all-rounders) is the right balance for me. In T20 it is easy, 4 bowlers and 5 overs each. In ODIs, 12 overs each with two bowlers bowling a max. of 13 overs each.
When they have tinkered with so many other ODI rules (most of them in favour of the batsmen such as shorter boundaries, powerplays etc.) why not try the above for a trial period at least.
