A lot of the airlines that fly domestic (U.S.), and international have banned transporting Hoverboards either as a carry-on, or as checked luggage due to safety concerns. This list includes major Middle Eastern carriers that connect U.S. to Middle East, Pakistan, and beyond.
Is PIA a part of the group as well? Has anyone tried? The reason I’m asking is, if all the commercial airlines have banned it, how do you transport it overseas if you’re traveling with it for personal use, or as a present for someone?
Thanks!
No speculation please. Need to know for certain whether or not it’s allowed on PIA. Or other factual suggestions that work as alternative.
it's better to be safe than be sorry. a good move by airlines. we don't wanna die for someone's hobby/pleasure rides.
i don't see many PIA and Air India on the list of airlines banning those hoverboards on their flights. i think the remaining airlines will have to follow the suit or else they will be banned to fly to so many destinations.
Reached out to PIA, and got a response stating that it is allowed in carry-on within weight and dimensions that apply to carry-on luggage.
Makes no sense. If it has li ion batteris, how will it not be dangerous if taken in carry on. That's the problem with each airline making up procedures from the seat of their
