Re: Housework/Work during pregnancy

I fought this battle as well. In each of my pregnancies, I had no nausea I just had this bone-tired fatigue. It does get better after the first trimester. The first one was the toughest. Just do what you can and know what? If your house isnt the cleanest and thats your biggest problem then you're doing just fine! The dirt will wait for you! Cleanliness is over-rated anyway! Seriously though...give youself the rest your body asks for and do what you can and try not to stress over what doesnt get done. It'll get done eventually.

Re: Housework/Work during pregnancy

Im going through this too im now nearly 13 weeks with my third baby

but the nausea is STILL there and i hate it, i cannot cook or stand any curry smells

and feel like im gonna throw up evry min :( im also stressed out that i cannot keep my

house as tidy as i want to and it really depresses me as usually im a clean freak who

always is cooking summat nice in the kitchen.

I just wish i had the energy to just get it all done :(

Re: Housework/Work during pregnancy

it really depends on how much energy u have, how healthy you are and what kinda pregnancy u are dealing with.

i was a very active pregnant woman... i was going to school part time and taking care of the household totally food laundry and all... i did that cuz i could without making myself sick or tired. i stopped vaccuming and washing the bathrooms though. .that was too heavy duty according to my mil and husband.. so i didnt do either until my baby was well on its way to being what.. 6 months ? :D

but i started to get easliy tired in my final trimester.. especially my 8th month.. i took a mternity leave from school cuz i suddenly went low on iron, housework took a hit too.. i stil lmanaged to clean the house and stuff.. but nothing hardcore.. no laundry either.. oh and i also stopped making rotis once i hit the 7th month cuz my stomach wouldnt allow me.. it was soo big that i had to stand a foot away from the counter to make it and that was just.. stupid. :D

so in the end.. listen to ure body.. this is the ONE time u can treat ureself liek queen and get away with it without feeling guilty.. cuz u owe it to baby to give him a healthy body to be carried around in :)

Re: Housework/Work during pregnancy

i am 27 weeks pregnent with 2nd baby thanks to ALLAH TALLAH who gave me energy, i am doing all household works, feeling better everyday

Re: Housework/Work during pregnancy

I didn't do much household work at all. In the first trimester I couldn't even enter the kitchen thanks to nausea and fatigue. Then I did occasional stuff in the second trimester. Fatigue in the third trimester made it difficult once again.

I did work all the way into the third trimester. I was planning to work until the end, unless there was reason not to. In the last couple months the doctors asked me to be on bed rest, so I had to reduce my work hours and eventually stop working.

Rest up while you can. Newborns are adorable but exhausting! :D

I was able to do cleaning but not much cooking in first trimester. But hubz helped me a lot by doing deep cleaning every weekend. Pregnancy is fun you do what your baby allows you too.:hehe:

Re: Housework/Work during pregnancy

this is my second pregnancy and I feel like doing nothing at all but I HAVE to be acting all active and moving around after my son all day :bummer: and i do the chores, etc though I hate cooking though-cant stand the smells at all.

Re: Housework/Work during pregnancy

i am 8 weeks pregnant now and its going to be my first baby ...

Energy level is really bad at the moment, i could really sleep the whole day long if i wouldnt get this back pain i could really be in my bed 24/7 ..

normally i am someone who cant sit still and has to be doing something, thats why it kinda upsets me that i cant do all my housework or do proper cooking or look a bit after myself cuz whenever i stand for too long my blood pressure gets really low, there for cooking sometimes aint jus possible ..

But the good thing is hubby does all the possible housework and we somehow do manage the cooking and food thing ...

Re: Housework/Work during pregnancy

I am AH in my third trimester, and in the last few days I have started to notice that I am finding it difficult to do the regular household work which I was very easily managing in the first two trimesters.I get tired too quickly,I get leg cramps and low back aches and stuff like that.
I had no issues with food smell etc so cooking was not a problem though I was very strictly told not to do anything of the sorts like scrubbing the tubs or vacuuming etc.I got some help from my sister and my husband but still it was kind of an adjustment I had to make as it was not easy to do whatever I was used to doing before getting pregnant, but I am thankful to Almighty every moment.
:)

I was pretty active throughout but the 6th and 9th month were really tough on me. I felt fatigued all the time. First time around, it was the low iron levels. It got better once I started taking supplements. During the 9th month, it was just tiring to drag myself around with all the weight I had put on and the protruding tummy. Luckily, I was at my mum's place and didn't really have to move around much but oh god! the 9th month seemed never ending!
