How many of you know girls who became housewives by choice? I'm not talking about the girls who got a degree in home economics or anthropology and then got married. I'm talking about girls with a serious degree (like business or mbbs or phd in something) without any other responsibilities such as children deciding to stay home and just enjoy married life for a year or two? Not even the ones who became doctors in pak and then dont really wanna go through the usmle process so they stay home or the ones who get pregnant right away. but maybe girls who were educated here? you know, the ones who probably had a good stable career going before they got married...do they typically choose to be housewives after marriage just because they can even though they worked so hard to obtain a higher education?
I quit work after being in a corporate job for 9 years. And I was educated here in the US. I chose to stay home after the babies were born because I had the option. I don't regret it.
