No going to friend’s house or inviting friends over at night if you have school the next morning.

No watching movies if you have school the next day.

No sitting on the internet wasting time for more than 30 minutes if you have homework (as you can see, I disregard this rule pretty much every day, and so I think they’ve forgotten it :D)

No eating food in bedrooms.

No shoes anywhere inside the house.

Room cleaning at least once a week (this includes vaccuum, dusting, fishing out crap from underneath the bed).

No talking on the phone for ridiculous amounts of time if you have homework (I disobey this rule completely lol).

No loud music in rooms. (thank God for headphones)

Here’s where it really starts pissing me off:

On weekends, for GIRLS: You must tell Ammi and Daddy where you are going, who you are going with, and what you are doing (The majority of the time, the answer is “No, you can’t go”, anyways. But, if you manage to get past phase 1, then on you move to the even more retarded rules of…) You must have a cell phone with you and turned on at all times (so that they can call you every 5 minutes and embarass your infront of your friends). You must be home BEFORE Maghrib namaaz (sunset) (there are SOMETIMES exceptions for this like if we’re at a Muslim friend’s house and they know the parents and stuff or if I’m at the mall with my sisters).

On weekends, for BOYS: Be back by 11 PM. Don’t crash.

I hate them. Not my parents. The rules. Hate 'em.

Yeah when I was in high school the rules were no going out without my mom.

Parents picked me up from school EVERY DAY.

Mom took the bus home wiht me every day that dad couldn’t pick me up.

Did i mention I wasn’t allowd to go ANYWHERE? Not even the corner store to get a bag of chips or something.

Oh yeah, my mom STILL gets mad if I go to my friend’s house in Brooklyn 3-4 times a year.

Oh and did I mention—**NOT ALLOWED OUT OF THE HOUSE. **Which was OK because guess what? I had no freinds in high school (who’d be friends wiht a loser whos barely allowed out of her room)

WheN i was 11, my tayya and cousin visited and were staying in our house. My brother would also bring his friends home, they’d stay the night, stay the day whatever. So basically I wasn’t allowed out of my bedroom for 3-4 years. They’d give me my meals to eat in the room. And at the time I didn’t have a TV or computer in my bedroom.

I wish my parents had been stricter with the keeping my room clean/no internet/TV when studying etc, basically instilling good habits instead of just thinking that if i stayed home, everything would be perfectly fine and I’d stay totally safe and I’d **NEVER ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever **have a problem dealing with people in the real world. :hinna:
