House Of 1000 Corpses

I just watched this film last night. It was written and directed by Rob Zombie (formerly of the band “White Zombie”). One can describe this film with the following words; sadistic, disturbing, creepy, humerous and gory. If you’re looking for your typical teen horror film ala “I Know What You Did Last Summer” or “Scream”, then you will be severely dissapointed. This film will definitely become a cult classic. It’s very remeniscent of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, and some scenes relate to many historical serial killer’s incidents such as (Ed Gein and Albert Fish). Bill Mosley (from “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2”) also plays a part in the film. This is not a critics film. If you’re into underground cult horror films, then you will enjoy this film, as I did.

PS: Kids, don’t go see this film with your parents.

Like I said, it's not a critics movie, in fact critics will have a field day bashing this film. It's more geared towards people into cult horror films, not the masses.

i love these type of movies:dixsi:

I'm into these kinda movies!
Will try to watch it! Is it playing in the cinema or did u rent it?

The link is dead btw :)

Yes, it just opened up in theatres in NA yesterday, not sure about Europe. I noticed that the link is dead also. I'm sure it'll come back up soon. There's a good trailer on the site.

Ed Gein was one twisted movie. Felt like a poor man's Silence of the lambs, only weirder.

Agreed. The Ed Gein movie was crazy. The Ed Gein book "Psycho" is even worse.

I come from the U.K. I watched 'House Of A Thousand Corpses' this weekend for the first time. I was in the house on my own so gave it my undivided attention. I love horror movies... this is the best one i have seen since Friday The Thirteenth. Unlike 'I know What you did last summer' this film is great. It is blend of black humor, heavy rock and creative gore. Its a horror feast for any hungry horror geek like myself. Yum Yum.

The most disturbing scene was 'fish boy'. the horror on that guys face before being turned into a fish masterpiece. Oww!oww!

brought this on DVD from pak.

didn't like it, bit too cheap for me.

and i agree with fret - don't watch it in front of your parents :)
