I logged in after a few weeks, into one of my hotmail accounts, and noticed that all of my email, messages, and everything had been deleted, and there was nothing left in it. How can this happen?
The only thing that happened between the last time I logged in (yesterday) and the previous time (4-5 weeks ago), is that I think Hotmail merged or something with Windows Live Mail. The graphics, layout, etc had all changed.
Any idea about what may have happened (other than hacking)?

Your account gets deactivated after one month of inactivity and everything gets erased. It gets activated the next time you log in but you have to start all over again.

I thought that was suppose to happen every 3 months?

once i had that kind of error with Yahoo and they people recovered my e-mails.. but my mail was not free one :)]
