We’re thinking of going for a weekend in October…and the hotels are pretty expensive!.. average $250 a night …in the city…any tricks or places where I can find a cheap hotel?.. I dont mind stayin a lil far if it’s accessible by subway…

I have stayed at Affinia 50 and Hayaat in midtown, great hotels but pricy. I am looking for an affordable one too. will let you know if i find a good one.
