I will suggest that make sure that you stay in some where near to places u want to visit.
Quasais will be far from main Bur Dubai or Diera or Sheikh Zayed side, so it can be a problem with respect to traffic.
The last time I was here I stayed in Diera in Fortune hotel, now I am in hotel apartment near Almulla Plaza.

you are near mullah plaza? isnt that a very congested area? i mean all the traffic to and from sharjah passes from there. but your work might be near to mullah right?

Why ? cuz I am staying in hotel apartment just above my office.
However I do feel deeply sorry for the Sahrjah traffic when I see long ques early in the morning.

We actually stayed at the Princess Hotel when we came to Dubai for the first time. That was only for one day though and for that purpose the hotel was ok.

As others mentioned, try Princess Hotel. there is one more hotel in Al Qusais, that is Dubai Grand Hotel.

Last week my sister stayed in Royal Ascot hotel but I it was not very impressive for me.
I think at the end of the day its only 19-20 difference in different hotels.
