I am hosting a charity meal at home for Cancer Research UK. There will be around 15 people some of which will be children and some adults who don’t eat spicy food. My dilemma is I need to keep costs down but provide a quality meal. So far this is what I am thinking menu wise: starters of mixed pakora tray, tandoori drumsticks, mixed samosa tray or alu tikkis. Mains: chickpea pilau or kofta pilau with meat and spinach handi (also to be served with naans) tarka daal, raita and salad. Desserts: seyviaan with orange and pistachios, or ras milai. Plus a tray of mini cakes. Drinks will be 2 mocktails plus chai to end the meal. So what do you guys think ? Is it a good menu? Any feedback welcome.
