HOST restuarant in Toronto

Salam everyone,

Sorry to bring up this topic if this has already been discussed, but is HOST restuarant in Toronto (specifically in Richmond Hill - Hwy7/404) halal?

I tried it before and damn their and their butter chicken is really good. According to the waiter there it is halal, but i am a bit suspicious now since i m hearing different stories from different ppl

Can somebody confirm if it is a halal restuarant…

Thx

Re: HOST restuarant in Toronto

If you've done your part to investigate it's halal you've done your job. Unfortunately elements within our religion are making us increasingly suspicious of each other. Until you yourself are convinced it's not halal - eat away and ignore this newly developed attempt to marginalize muslims into sects within sects.

As far as you're concerned, you upheld your islamic duty to inquire and you'll believe any number of muslim waiters that work at The Host. From the times I've been to The Host in Richmond Hill, they are halal. Their Yorkville location though, is not. This is ultimately because of demographics. Their Mississauga and Richmond Hill locations are halal because they serve Muslims, while Yorkville is not because of the obvious. Most muslims dare not venture to Yorkville :-).

P.S. If you're craving Halal Malay food, do visit Restoran Malaysia up at 815 Major Mack .

Re: HOST restuarant in Toronto

HAHA…Ive become pretty familiar with nice halal restaraunts lately. Im surprised noone picked up on my post about a local high scale golf course offering a full halal menu. There are little treats hidden around Toronto, you just have to know halal food is available in more places than we think.

Restoran Malay has gotten really nice in recent years after their recent renovation. It’s not the usual strip mall setup, the Malaysian owners have taken alot of care in maintaining their restaraunt. Here’s the halal verification : http://www.zabihah.com/_details.php?rest_id=826

Do report back if you go there
