You get EVERYTHING for you and your baby from the hospital. I kept just one small bag for me (my makeup, hair ties, bathroom slippers and a nice pj set to take pics in after delievery, I kept one homecoming outfit. For baby I kept just one nice homecoming outfit.

You get all your sanitary need from hospital. You won’t use anything that we use regularly anyway. You’ll need heavy hospital pads and stuff. They have mesh underwears. You can keep couple of your own in case you don’t like the hospital one. They provide toiletries.
You get baby diapers, formula from the hospital too. I kept a small moisturizer for him because hospital won’t use anything on small babies.

This is the stuff I had:
for me, a pj set or a nice rob, one good homecoming outfit, hairbrush, pins, hair ties, camera, slipper to match my pj set, a small makeup bag, my laptop (hey free wi-fi.. so why not), my own cotton underwears (didn’t need it though).

For baby like I said, I only kept one good outfit and a small moisturizer. When I was leaving from hospital, they gave me 3-5 days supplies of everything for baby. Ready to feed formula, diapers, etc. My baby is 2 months now, I still have a box of supplies give by hospital for me and my baby which I didn’t even use.

I didn’t know the hospital provides so many items. Did you give birth in the UK? I heard we needed to bring sanitary items.
