HORSE TRADING!!!

Is it still ok to do after elections or some law prohibiting it?
Sorry to ask a question rather then a discuss(^_^)
Lota turn into horse after election!

Re: HORSE TRADING!!!

After 18th amendment, the members of parliament cannot vote contrary to directions of the party they belong to on certain issues or change parties freely.... So, a member can be disqualified if he/she...

(a) resigns from membership of his political party or joins another Parliamentary Party; or
(b) votes or abstains from voting in the House contrary to any direction issued by the Parliamentary Party to which he belongs, in relations to-
(i) election of the Prime Minister or the Chief Minister; or
(ii) a vote of confidence or a vote of no-confidence; or
(iii) a Money Bill or a Constitution (Amendment) Bill;

The haram khors have found a way around it though. They have been buying whole parties instead of individual members during the last 5 years.

Re: HORSE TRADING!!!

Not for independent candidates. Only those who registered as members of a parliamentary party. Read article 63A..
