Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
Sorry, but thats old blame game. 16 or 25 years homological terrorists were not born in 1980s. They are product of madarassas grooming & are brainwashed by mullahs thinking they will go to heaven instantly by killing others.
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
So the report said nothing like Pakistani army hid OBL for so long? And it never said how the retired general walked in and pleaded security and his family to be shifted and gave everything away? And report never said how Pasha kneed down in washington giving tons of excuses as to why they hid him trying to come clean? And then how Kyani pleaded that OBL must be killed not spared at all?
Seriously dude, did u even read that report? anywaz, there is another thread for it so you can post the response to this over there but I think its the ultimate humiliation that our army top brass has brought to the country.
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
The damage is done. The whole media covered how the COAS cancelled his Sri Lankan tour to rush to Karachi with DG ISI whereas Nawaz Sharif was seen gorging down on lavish lunch in some nonsensically long economic corridor ‘brand advertising’ meeting. The meeting you quoted happened much letter after the media outrage. You can turn around to be bitterly dismissive and abusive, but the point is these little things time and time validate the opinion how frontline leadership only comes from Army in Pakistan.
As we speak, the COAS decided to stay behind in Karachi and is currently *chairing *the apex committee. This totally highlights the absolute worthlessness of police, provisional government, federal government and in particular, the interior ministry. The COAS technically shouldn’t be doing this.
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
Kiyani didn’t provide any such leadership in last five years, he foolishly left the ball in PPP’s court and look how badly the country suffered. Gen. Sharif has turned the whole game around in no time, and has effectively saved Pakistan from deteriorating any further.
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
As long you have absolute and most wanted criminals (not) running the civilian affairs, military will always have this complex that they are the true protectors of the state, hence need to be running things in one way or another.
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
So was this all about the media coverage?
Btw that was not a meeting but a all-parties conference already going on when the attack happened. And when NS and MQM both proposed that the conf should immediately be adjourned to visit Khi, two leaders in particularly Molana Diesel and one from ANP strongly opposed but still NS asked them to not drag it than 4 hours. Go ahead and verify this from ARY if you want before posting all the baseless
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
So it is all about perceptions? What is this, UK elections? 47 died in that bus and we are talking about how it looks on the leaders? I agree with your last sentence though, except it should read “mustn’t”.
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
Don’t make stupid presumptions for sake of making stupid presumption.
In tragedies like this, media coverage is lot more than just media coverage – its forms people’s opinions and perceptions. All this face saving excuses like Nawaz Sharif said this or Nawaz Sharif said that in disgustingly long meeting that no one even paid attention to doesn’t matter. It’s strawman argument.
The point is, the Chief of Army Staff came forward and provided the much needed leadership and created a sense of urgency at a time when everyone’s eyes were on Karachi whereas Nawaz Sharif was seen pathetically debating that ‘oh shall we cut the meeting short or not- or maybe not - let’s just forget it, please serve 20 course lunch’.
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
Pretty rich coming from someone like you! Weren’t you the one who couple of days back preaching how democracy is in the ‘mindset’ and we need to change that mindset? Now you are suddenly questioning ‘perceptions’, really? Well then, how will ordinary Pakistani change the mindset leadership should come from democratic leaders, when it’s only their army chief who comes forward to provide leadership and takes tough decisions when the going gets tough? Well done to Pakistan army for once again proving how it’s the only institution Pakistan can reply upon from rescuing people in natural disasters to taking control of law and order situation.
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
Thats what happens in democracy.. we talk.. we debate.. we take everybody on board..
but well, lovers of Army rule wont know about it ofcourse all they aspire for is having some military rulers all over the country.
And then they retire and then they become a “walk-in” towards a certain embassy.
Btw, when 9-11 happened, the biggest and most tragic event in US modern history, do you know when President bush visited the site? He must be far more evil for his country than NS, right?
So right now its nothing about the failure of intelligence agencies rather its alllllllllllllllllllllllll about PM not visiting Khi. Very interesting
Re: Horrible attack on Ismaili community - 47 Killed
And Just in, after a long time the only international cricket team that was about to visit Pakistan, Zimbabwe, has cancelled its tour after this incident. SMH.
