You might want to read my posts more carefully next time, before giving in to the itch of replying. I was talking about intelligentsia, not mindset. When educated people start professing army take a role in civilian matters, they are abdicating their responsibility of building the institutions necessary for a successful democracy. You on the other hand claimed that the ‘system’ itself is corrupt. Well, to me, you are part of that ‘system’. Either you help make it better, or delegate it to army at the first sign of trouble, it is upto you. Am glad there are many others who dont want the whole damn kitchen to be built before buying a decent knife.

they were not kept at bay..they stayed on the sidelines… notice the difference? there in lies the problem…there is too much power concentrated in an unelected entity...that people feel peace and order comes at their magnanimity… if we want to have a robust successful democracy, we need to move away from this mindset..not towards it
