bro, these religious leaders have become extremely strong with a lot of financial backing and supporters across the globe. It is like a mafia and is not easy to wipe them out. I am traveling for work these days. I was in manila/Bangkok few days ago and now in Jakarta/Kuala lampur. I was surprised to see advertisement of Eid-Milad12th Rabi’ al-awwal by pakistani religious leaders (small advertisement boards hanging in streets in urdu ) in selected portions of these cities asking their followers to join for dua and milad with these leaders via video projectors . Nothing wrong with these events at all but that tells you about their reach and organizational capabilities. All of them had some donation request as well…

At some point in our sad history we outsourced all thinking to mullahs. They made religion into a complex beast only they understand. At this point we need to take our religion back from these zealots. Who has done that successfully in the past? Ataturk, perhaps. But now we see Turkey going back to the dirt bags, again.
