As you said hope is the last recourse of the weak so i told you hope is there even if you take medicine and you cannot escape no matter how much stronger position you are in.
Regarding the question, I would rather say it’s kind of matter of believers. As hope is kind of natural instinct and is necessary to live a healthy life so our Creator provided us a framework addressing the spiritual need. Take the hope out of the heart of a patient of some fatal disease, you will see it benefits nothing but create deadly panic for the patient. So the hope directly affects the successful occurrence of an event.
Problem with the approach you people follow is it’s too systematic and you don’t care about spiritual needs of human being but banging head against it. Such approach of reasoning will be a disaster for the world IMO.
