Re: Hope in a Jar
this is the only eye cream i feel which works ... i had received a sample from Sephora once and that sample itself lasted me around 8 months.
After that I went ahead and invested in the full size bottle. Its a but pricey for the amount that you get but is totally worth it.
Just a small note, the only issue I have is puffiness. I'm not sure if this would be effective for wrinkles or dark circles
Re: Hope in a Jar
What's so special about their product that no other product has?
Re: Hope in a Jar
Wait, is this thread about the eye cream or the moisturizer?
I have used the Hope in a Jar (day cream) and Hope in a Jar night cream. My skin is normal to oily, can be dehydrated because of the harsh winters. I can also be prone to breakouts if I don't use the right stuff. I also use the Philosophy cleanser.
Day cream (white jar): I did not find this moisturizing enough, especially in the winters. It is lightweight and absorbs easily but if your skin is super oily, you should love it.
Night cream (black jar): Long winter season means I use this stuff more and skin likes it. Great under makeup. Sometimes, I can get flaky spots and I just dab it over my makeup. Lol I know! It does help though.
I even tried using both, white jar during the day black jar during night but I felt like my skin needed more, especially when I put on makeup I just thought I looked better when I used the heavier, greasier version of it. It's not amazing but it does the job and does not break me out and keeps skin clear. It did not make me skin super glowy and supple like those models. For that, use masks and serums?
Philosophy cleanser: I think it is great for any skin type. This has also made my skin clear, and really washes away the gunk without overdrying or making it oily. Absolute favourite and highly recommended especially if you wear makeup.
Eye cream: I didn't use it, gave it away.
Re: Hope in a Jar
I used a free sample that Ulta was handing out to some select customers (depending on how many points you have, etc), and I tried it once and really liked it. My skin these days is inflamed and filled w/acne, and I'm having difficulty with moisturizers that are too harsh on it.
It's wonderful. Every sales girl I have run into that has an acne problem says they use it and it does the job well, without any further breakouts.
I think it might be worth the price. There is a travel size available for 16 dollars at sephora if anyone wants to try it.
