Hoops of Fire

50 years’ worth of writing by female writers from the sub-continent, regarding many different issues. Just got this book two days ago. Has anyone read it? Is it good? i flipped through some of the stories and it didn’t really hold my interest…maybe i was feeling bored so i didn’t really read it with a serious enough frame of mind.

Is it worth it? Recommended? Waste of time?

I remember buying this ages ago, and thinking it was terribly boring. Although to be fair, some of the stories have been translated from their original languages (urdu?) and most translated work is never as good as in its original form.

I think I read it… not sure :bummer:

If this it has the stories related to partition times… The bangladesh Events… etc etc

As as whole it was not good… It was so so …

Anything to do with female circus performers since the partition? If not then don't bother.
