Hooligans and Taalibans

Would I be right in saying they’re of the same mentality?

Hooligans are supposed to be die-hard football fans and consider themselves faithful supporters of their country…

Taalibans/Islamists are the so-called muslims who think they’re loyal to their religion and are trying to protect it…

To me, hooligans are not loyal football fans and taalibans are not devoted muslims… they’re simply animals! I’m just after watching a series about the hooligans and I can’t post it here because its too violent and too offensive… everything from sexually assaulting women to burning flags to spitting on others and nearly beating them to death was what the hooligans were shown doing in the documentary… the only conclusion I’ve been able to come to is that they’re not about football, they’re all about hate and violence!.. Just like the taalibans don’t have a religion, they don’t have any morals, they’re all about extreme violence!

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

Both are intolerant, both are narrow-minded, both are racists. They're no better than each other

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

I haven't posted in Iconoclast's thread questioning whether the English society is as sick as ours... After watching this documentary, I can pretty much say yes it is sick, perhaps less (just like Icono stated) but it definitely has some sick minds walking around... There's A LOT of hate in the western society, its just more controlled and more "undercover" .... In one part of the documentary, this English dude was heard saying "All I ever want to do in my life is to slice off a muslim's head" o_O

And I heard a lot of them saying the word "paki" and I must say, I understand why British Pakistanis find this term offensive... it just sounded so hateful and so aggressive!

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

BBQ what are you smoking? Their is a quite a difference between sports & religion.

Hooliganism refers to unruly, destructive, aggressive and bullying behaviour, and it's common in mostly sports fans but not limited to them only.

I have yet to see a die hard sports fan carried suicide attack or slaughter lil children. After just watching one documentary you make your mind, nice .. you can be influenced pretty fast. Then the barbarian laws of saudi arabia didn't make any difference in you?

You tell me what's the difference between Saudi laws & law of jungle, none !

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

^ I knew that was coming... Firenze, I had said "they're of the same mentality" ... I didn't say they have the same motives/practices... And Shak summed it pretty well...

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

Same mentality? do both of them have same goals? What are you talking about.

You are taking religion to the level of the games - What is your point?

Being violent doesn't mean you are part of something common, what about the violence of Palestine against Israel - we call it freedom fight Israel call it terrorism.

As i said in my earlier post, the Saudi laws are barbarians for westerns, so should i put Saudis with the lines of talibans & hooligans ?

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

BBQ- yes, both just cling on to something as an excuse to provide cover for their hate
the level of hate and how much they can get away with varies though

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

^ Thats a valid point X2... The level of extremism varies between the two but the mentality is still the same...

Firenze bhaiyya no need to get all defensive, I was just sharing a thought which Shak and X2 understood but ur missing the point and I'm not going to get into an argument because u have every right to disagree... and I'm definitely not going to debate on Israel/Palestine/Saudi because this is not what the thread is about.

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

LMAOO!

But yea you cant compare hooligans to taliban fanatics.
There mentality is not the same. A hooligan does not think that its ok to bomb infidels. Both are bad but Talibanis are not humans.

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

umm so hooligans are humans?

Right.

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

the funny thing is, if u ask them why they are so passionate.. or why they are so devoted to whatever they are devoted to, they wont have an answer.

At the end of the day, they are both uneducated, confused and have no faith in life itself. Hence, they turn towards extremeness of this kind because they believe they have control or power over something. What a laugh. They dont evne know they are mere puppets

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

Same chit, different a-hole.

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

Would you rather want a hooligan in your community or a talibani terrorist that can blow himself up anytime?

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

^Hooligans can sometimes be just as violent (am sure Barbie knows better seeing as tho she lives in Ireland)..

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

Should?? We must!! Any sane person would

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans

edit

Re: Hooligans and Taalibans
