honeymoon....

Re: honeymoon....

malaysia's really nice- i remember going there a few years ago and it was just a very relaxing, restful place.

if you get the chance for a second trip, go to the cinque terre on the western coast of italy- closest place is La Spezia. you jump right into the mediterranean from the beach and it is gorgeous! its this little cluster of five mountain villages and you drive up the mountain and then down the other side and you hit the little hidden beach.

the hubs and i just got back from our three week long roadtrip through europe and wow, SUCH fun! i would highly recommend that too but you'd be driving a lot and it doesnt sound like you want to to that. in the end, we saw 8 countries and drove 8000 kms and had the adventure to end all adventures! :)

of all the places we went to, i can completely see why paris has such charm. and you can always drive down to nice and hit the beaches there. my favourite though was austria-- beautiful country, gorgeous alps, and very nice people.

if all else fails, you can always opt for the carribbean. its beautiful there- especially if you go to the less touristy islands.

Re: honeymoon....

We spent a week in Swizterland in the second half of May. THe weather was somewhat cool while we were there but not too cold. We spent time in St Moritz, Zermatt, Montruex, Lucerne, Geneva and Zurich. I loved, loved, loved Montruex and Zurich. We actually got a package from a travel agent since we didnt have enough time to plan in advance but it was a trip worth taking. Ah the memories, esp since neither of us had been to Europe before.

SOmeone mentioned getting some rest after the wedding and before leaving for the honeymoon. You are sooo right. We were dead tired after the wedding and flew 2 days later but we had gotten no rest (setting up everything for inlaws who were visiting for the wedding) and we were dead tired for the first couple of days. When time is limited you dont want to be catching up on sleep.
