salam guppies,
A guppie has come back. I know most people don’t even know me here as i didn’t quite stay here for long.
Anyway, I would soon be going to Pakistan to get married. I plan to go visit Northern areas with my wife for a week or so.
What areas/locations do you guppies suggest are a MUST SEE?
Any ideas/comments/suggestions/advices will be appreaciated.

I dont know about the Northern Areas now, as most of the parts were destroyed in the earthquake. Chitral, sawat, gilgit were safe. But make sure that you dont go in rainy season as, it might cause land slidings at most of the areas.

ya, thats what i thought too. I was thinking of Bhurbhan, Kalash, hunza waghera..not sure where these places are though. Would you suggest these places to go see?

Salam I will suggest Swat Serena Hotel for a week or you could also go to Hunza and stay there at Baltit inn Hotel for a few days and relex.
To go to Swat you will get Daewoo bus daily from Rawalpindi and to Go to Hunza Try to catch a flight to Gilgit and then get a Jeep to Hunza and stay there a while.
You can also hand out in Bhurban but that is too expanssive and not worth the price at all.

I will suggest you to goto Maldives. You will only be thanking be after coming back. The beauty, comfort and cost is just unbelievable. Better ask your relatives to check local Travel Agencies in Karachi/Lahore, you will get a very good all-covered and no-hassles package for a reasonable price, you just walk out of Male Airport like a train station and your ferry to your island will be waiting for you with your resort’s representative.
Nice clean environment, all halal-food, privacy and very friendly - English speaking people.
The Maldives are also called Hawwaii of Indian Ocean. Murittis is not as half beautiful as maldives.
I like Veelu Reef or Bandos.

Jamal, how much does it cost for stay and travel to those areas? I have never been to those places. Just wanted to get an estimate so i know what i m looking at.
Smooth_guy, thanks for the links. Maldives sure looks gorgeous. I am in Canada right now, will be going to get married in Pakistan inshaAllah. I couldn't find out any direct flights from Khi to Male online. I will definitely look into this inshaAllah.

You will get an excellent package from Sri Lankan Airlines, its a complete deal including resort etc. Ask your relatives in Karachi to check with travel agents there. Flights go twice a week from KHI, Mombai, Colombo to Male. Total 6 hrs. Or take another airline from Dubai. Its daily from Dubai to Male. But KHI-MBI-COL-MAL is the cheapest. On the way back you will have 6 hrs to kill in Colombo. You can hire a car at airport and in $50 only you can visit almost all of Colombo. If you need more info, PM me.
For a Canadian, Maldives is more attractive than any of those mountainies. You have whole life inshallah to go back to motherland and visit those paradise in north. You know what I mean, make this special occassion best time of your life.
