Dating/love before marriage is not good and usually have after effects. But if one did that then its better to ask for Allah's forgiveness and take it to some maturity level (marriage).

i admit, i used to do this. but i came to my senses a few years ago and have been clean since.:)
i think it depends if the dating is 'non physical contact' ie; if the boy and girl are doing it for possibility of it leading to marriage. then its kosher i guess. nowt wrong with that.

I understand, that you did not want RELIGION included but guess what NEWSFLASH: WE'RE MUSLIMS and in our religion everything is seein through ISLAM so thats why ppl will include the mention of our religion!

Introduce him to your mom and say that you want to get married with him and that hes perfect and hes most likely punjabi right so your dad would even get along with him really good!
