I must say this Civic is looking a lot better than the dabba they threw in the market for last 4 years. This one has both N. Amercian and European touch.
30 Miles in city and 40 Miles at Hwy is not bad at all for a 1.8L - 140hp engine.

Honda Motor Co. unveiled a new version of the Honda Civic Tuesday. The car will be available for the 2006 model year.
The new Civic has a lower, more angular design than previous versions and it also has a number of performance improvements. As before, it will be available in coupe and sedan versions, a high-performance Si version and a high-mileage hybrid version.
The coupe and sedan versions will be available with 1.8-liter 140-horsepower engines. The current 2005 Civic has a 127-horsepower engine. The cars are expected to get about 30 miles per gallon in city driving and 40 on the highway when equipped with an automatic transmission. The cars will also be available with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The 2006 Civic Hybrid is expected to get about 50 miles per gallon in city driving and the same on the highway. An improved system will give the new Civic hybrid the ability to cruise at low speeds under electric power only, which the current hybrid Civic cannot do.
The 2006 Civic Si, the Civic’s high-performance trim, will have a 2.0 liter 197-horsepower engine. The 2005 version has a 160-horsepower engine. The new Si will also have a six-speed manual transmission instead of the current five-speed. Fuel economy for the Si version is slightly less in city driving than the previous version at 22 miles per gallon instead of 26. Estimated highway mileage is the same at 31 miles per gallon.
Side curtain airbags and anti-lock brakes will be standard in all versions. Safety features designed to protect pedestrians in the event they are hit by the car are also standard. Those include special impact-absorbing hood and fenders as well as break-away wiper blade mountings.
The regular Civic coupe and sedan will be available Sept. 15, the a Honda spokesman said, with the hybrid version going on sale Oct. 5. The Si version will be aviable some time in December, he said. Pricing has not been announced, but the current Civic sells for about $14,000 for the base coupe to just under $20,000 for the Si. Typically, Honda introduces new models with only slight price increases over previous versions.
