First time in his recent history Honda has changed its car model in less than five years. I believe there must have been signs that customer didn’t like the Accord 2003 model, specially its back lights.
But boy, they revised the model in three years and came up with a winner, in gas consumption, peformance, style and stroage.
Not bad. I quite like the current accord especially the back lights. It grows on you. Problem accord has it's good but people prefer to go for something which holds it's value better i.e. german or it's jap counterpart Lexus.
The back doesn't look too bad in the picture, but when I was behind one yesterday I didn't like it. The back is raised up higher and since it has thin (probably 195 or 205 series) tires, it looked very "uchakkee". Would look better if lowered. In terms of exterior styling, I would still prefer the 2003 model over this one.
My coworker just purchased it in black color last Thursday. It is quiet bigger than 2003 model, a little more spacious than 2000 model. Overal they have merged the style, features and body of all the models from 1995 till date.
its just a facelift that usually goes for every honda model out there for every 3 yrs...u can c the change in the civic thats being offerred now in pak ...thats the facelift for the 2002 model which is nothing more than redesigning bumpers and lights slightly and maybe a lil bit of interior change... the all new accord (american) is scheduled for 2007 in usa and will feature a complete redesign... that redesign happens with every honda model every 5 yrs... the civic came out in 2001 and it came out with a facelift in 2003 i think or so and now the new civic is out with total redesign for 2006 which sooner or later will hit pak market as well....
the year of production commences after 5 yrs of the original model production…wht u c right now isnt a new model but the facelifted version debuted this yr…i have worked at atlas honda myself and i know thats how they come up with new models after each 5 yr term period…ur statement of 2008 could be right but as far as i know the present 7th generation came out in 2002 with the revised facelift in 2005 and the 8th generation comes out in 2007…
