Fyi, human beings are animals.
I guessed you missed out on your biology courses.
Urm, ever heard of insaan being Ashraf-ul-Makhlooqaat? Or did you skip your Islamic studies to attend biology class :p?

For those who keep coming back with the same argument over and over, that being PERSECUTION AND MISTREATMENT OF HOMOSEXUALS, nobody, at least nobody here in this thread, is walking around with a baton to bash the soul out of homosexuals for they chose to lead an unnatural life. Neither we are burying them alive nor are we stoning them to death.
LOL. Pico bohat acha andaaz e bayan hai.
Anyway on a serious note, yes there is no argument that it is against the law of the land in Pakisan, and should be punishabe as such.
On the other hand I think that the laws in Pakistan are discriminatory, and are designed to give advantage only to muslims. Call it short sightedness or unfair or arrogance or ignorance, but thats the way it is.
I dont think they need to necessarily be punished. I just dont recognize them as a couple or feel they should get 'married" or adopt. Like there isnt enough confusion in the world??? We should add to it by having children grow up in two-mommy and two-daddy households??? When the kid asks where he/she came from, we proceed to add further to their confusion by telling them how a third woman had to carry him/her so Daddy 1 and Daddy 2 could have a baby? Yikes!
I agree with you on the point of laws in Pakistan and most Muslim countries being discriminatory towards non-Muslims. But the homosexuals we are talking about are Muslim.
it is quiet hard to please two masters at the same time, when it comes to law that are in accordance with islam and are considered discriminatory that would be my two cents.no apologies what so ever.

Off topic but I get the gist that we should not cry foul when laws are created which are descrimanatory towards us in non muslim countries.

It is off-topic but it is a very interesting topic novertheless. Why is it that so many Muslim countries have laws against non-Muslims but non-Muslim countries dont or shouldnt?

definitely off topic. i disagree, if you declare yourself secular and follow man made rules or philosophy then your laws are required to fulfill those merits . however if you declare yourself muslim, you accept Allah's slavery and you have no choice but follow His decree. like it or not the choice is of keepign the faith. similarily if a secular state is not following its ideaology than can hardly expect others not to question it regardless of the fact that others believe in Allah's decree. i think of it as a contract between two, while each has different set of laws individually they find a compromise to work together. if any party fails to keep the bargain than why shouldnt it be questioned?after all it is man made not divine

would you elaborate? if its about homosexuality then be it muslim or non muslim i think it is simply not acceptable. similarily western countries donot allow polygamy but being promiscous is not a crime under law.go figure.

Why shouldn't it be questioned even if its devine?
and btw I am all for polygamists if all parties agree same as orgies if all parties agree. I dont have separate set of rules for straights or bent and as long as they are not coming too close to me or my family - devine ruling or not - it doesnt matter.
^yes because you choose not to believe in divine rulings. but if i do, i would not bend the rules to meet your criteria for it will negate the logic that i follow. now if in treating others i break the religious codes then others have the right to call on it even if they are non muslims.after all you can hardly criticise me for acting on what i believe in, since you do exactly the same yourself.
Sorry, I dont want to derail this thread so I posted this as a question here:

There you got me wrong, I believe probably in the same things you believe in. All I am trying to say is that if someone is doing something wrong in the eyes of one particular group and in the process he is not hurting any unwanting party, is not my concern and I am not bothered by it.
Khamakha doosray kay muamlay mein taang kyon araaon, har aik kay pass khuda ka diya howa dimagh hai.
let me retract foot out of my mouth for some bizarre reason i thought u were an atheist. apologies!
about the personal business thing i agree with you long as the particular group is not required by it faith to make it blatantly obvious that some personal practices are not acceptable.then the particular group has no choice ,do they?
This is why I HEART the Iranian President who was able to say on CNN that homosexuality is not welcome in Iran or by the Iranians!
HS is as rampant in Iran as in any other part of the world. Even Ahmadinejad's response was based on the question about punishment of 2 HS ladies.
Re: Homosexuality=Modernism????
A friend just told me today that iraj is a lesbian and apparently she was engaged to sadia imam!?! lol i cudnt stop laughing as i thought it was unbelieveable but she seemed pretty serious abt it.
