ok is it just me(who noticed it) or WE (Pakistanis) are really more open about it now? There were times when talking about homosexuality was a tabboo; although the poblem existed in society but we brushed it under the rugs for social and cultural reasons. BUT now it’s entirely different story, we have started addressing this issue more openly, also people with homosexual tendencies are coming out of closet and speaking their mind. Is it a good sign or bad?

Well, I guess our perception of many things has changed as we are exposed to more cultures and lifestyles. We are more tolerant towards what we perhaps don't agree with or believe in but have learned to accept it as part of life.
I guess we all make our choices and as long as we stick to our values but respect others choices and stay away from playing God, we'll be fine.

its because Islam is highjacked and it has become a "taboo" especially in the last decade.
parent wants their children to get all the education but dont wana discuss what their religion has taught them only because their children might gonna come to them and will question their (i mean parents) corrupted actions.
otherwise its a best way to make ALLAH SWT's work easy and let him put His own creation in Hell!

plus its rather amusing that in the previous decades when islam was not a 'taboo' we had all ills like mujras, rishwat, sectarian/ethnic killings. I guess the parents were not teaching them that is bad too.

You just can;t ignore the fact of Govt trying to enforce things on us. Believing they are giving a groups "rights"
homos need to be treated Normal if the live among normal ppl. But if they tend to make a culture out of it.
Then No!!! they should not be allowed to do so.

i have always thought making a taboo of an issue is an easy way to promote ignorance about it. there should be solid awareness created in muslim countries especially pakistan that it is sin as per religion. many people are unaware of the religious stance.

People who think we should mind our own bussiness they should think that may be in Western culture we cannot do anything about it because the people in West are non-muslims and they have their own laws. But in Pakistan as its an Islamic state we should consider it as Gunnah and we should think that Islam doesn't approve homosexuality it was a sin ,it is a sin and it will always remain a sin.

i cant really see the connection here and the Medieval era cuz no matter what we cant deny the contemporary fact that the information wasn't flourishing in an amount as what he see nowadays. freedom of speech was only accessible to the rulers and instead of highlighting bad aspects of their societies, the best they did was to write as heroic achievements of themselves as they could, cuz giving coverage to bad stuff would had ruin their trading.
if you do the past analysis, the glory of any dynasty exhibited from the investment they put on art and architecture. so when ppl admired their work they were automatically assumed a civilized societies.
but homosexuality was existed even at that time. yes Islamic states wont be able to propagandize such issues, where as western art do talk about those activities in great detail even at that time.
the conjecture i have able to drawn so far that the muslims were really Muslims, i mean submitted whole heartedly to Islam (May ALLAH SWT forgive me for writing that), when Prophet Muhammad PBUH was here. After His (PBUH) wasal, even we cant deny the piousness of the Four caliphates (RA), but we also cant deny that out of four, three were murdered...so it is obvious to guess the corruption existed among the muslims at that time.
i cant really talk about the prostitution cuz old literature talks about it as a "school of etiquette for Nawab-eens",and it was even existed at the time of Ummayaads.

There are gays in every city and every corner of Pakistan. It's just that you people don't want to accept this. Here child abuse has always been at its peak but still no one will talk about it. Here once you have had sex with some innocent guy, you will consider yourself some kind of effing Tarzan and after that innocent guy will become victims to other hungry wolves.
