I was treated for tonsilitis by a homeopath from age 3-5. I responded real well. Never had them removed. No complaints.

Re: Homeopathy

My sons issues are severe...constipation, reflux, giardia, no appetite. And there are some things that helped alot - honey and omega oils come to mind....but other things gave him SUCH a severe reaction that I really question some of the docs and what they give you to take. You need caution and patience to persue homeopathy. And vigilant perusal of what they want you to take.

Re: Homeopathy

Back home I was treated for clogged sinus for years by a homeopath but it did not work. I have no faith in this system of medicine , millions of others do.

Re: Homeopathy

i dnt really believe in homeopathy or atayi doctors....

Re: Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a crock. Do you realize how much they dilute the mixture? The premise is, the more diluted the original herb/mixture is, the more powerful it is. Make any sense? I think not.

Check this out.

Three potency scales are in regular use in homeopathy. Hahnemann created the centesimal or “C scale”, diluting a substance by a factor of 100 at each stage. The centesimal scale was favored by Hahnemann for most of his life. A 2C dilution requires a substance to be diluted to one part in one hundred, and then some of that diluted solution is diluted by a further factor of one hundred. This works out to one part of the original solution mixed into 9,999 parts (100 × 100 −1) of the diluent.[73]](Homeopathy - Wikipedia) A 6C dilution repeats this process six times, ending up with the original material diluted by a factor of 1,000,000,000,000. (100 × 100 × 100 × 100 × 100 × 100, or 1006). Higher dilutions follow the same pattern. In homeopathy, a solution that is more dilute is described as having a higher potency. Higher potencies (that is, more dilute substances) are considered by homeopaths to be stronger and deeper-acting remedies.

(may be from wiki, but this is common knowledge among lots of people).

Re: Homeopathy

yea ugh. this is a personal bugbear. there is a different between 'homeopathy' and 'herbal medicine'.

i think a lot of people who practice herbal/chinese medicine in Pakistan refer to it as homeopathy.

herbal medicine may work but homeopathy is a load of bs.

…Yes…have used “COLD MD” over the counter homeopathic medcine…averts cold…and does good for immune system…has worked for me…:k:

Re: Homeopathy

dear Niksik, i never tried. but it must have some credence to it.

My husband used a 4 week course of Homepath medicine for his recurring soar throat problem. It seemed to have worked and no gala khrab signs in more than six months. So I guess it worked for him.

Re: Homeopathy

I bought over the counter heomepathic teething and colic medicine for my daughters when they were little. Worked wonders. Hylands brand available anywhere.

But yes, on the larger scheme of things, it looks like it is hard to find a trustworthy homeopath these days, and the potency of medication prescribed is low, yet expensive.
